This workshop is a special opportunity for local students (ages 12 & up) to work with the media artist collective Cross Current Resonance Transducer (CCRT). Students will learn about renewable energy and do-it-yourself electronics, and how to make artworks using solar energy and motors.

This afternoon workshop, in August, will include:

* HARVESTING SUNLIGHT: Introduction, demos, and exploration of Solar Energy and Photovoltaics

* MOTOR MADNESS: Discussion of motor types, brainstorming, and experiments with DC motors.

* PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER: What goes into an art project using technology? Thinking about electronic and aesthetic design and the big picture.
