Mara Barenbaum, native of San Francisco, is a recent graduate of Bard College, where she studied electronic music and video. Her main interests are focused around early audio culture as she attempts to examine, reveal and re-contextualize the impressions that newly evolving mediums and technologies had left on the social consciousness. She works primarily with found sound and field recordings, interwoven into minimally structured compositions.
